The Institution Parbati Giri Balniketan, a non-profit making, non-political, secular Institution established on 15th August, 1995 in the occasion of Independence Day by the Legend Banhikanya Parbati Giri who had dedicated her life for the welfare of the people and is popularly known as the Mother Teresa of Western Odisha. The Balniketan was started being inaugurated in the holy hand of the then Collector & District Magistrate, Balangir Mr. C.J. Venugopal, I.A.S. and since then it has been running till today in spite of many hurdles and criticism. The motto behind the establishment of the Institution is to take care of the Orphan Children, destitute and distressed Women along with provision of Education, Health facilities and other support services so as to allow them to grow in a health atmosphere for their future rehabilitation and readjustment. The Institution is the Branch of the Kasturba Gandhi Matruniketan, Paikmal.

OBJECTIVES

To ensure the improved nutritional and health status of the Children including other cares.
To take necessary steps for their development in physical, mental, psychological, social & moral sector.
To provide Education to the Inmates to cater the need aiming at Universalisation of elementary Education (U.E.E.).
To arrange Vocational Training for the Children to develop their Skill and competencies in different vocation for their future sustainability.
To aware them in different welfare activities and for their personality development through council and guidance.
To prepare a healthy citizen for National Building.
To take necessary steps for rehabilitate and readjust the inmates in the society.
To provide shelter to destitute and distressed women, helpless Old people.
